Frequently Asked Questions
Why some fields show FAIL
- The player does not expose corresponding metadata fields via Windows System Media Session API.
- Differences between UWP and desktop builds; some Microsoft‑Store applications restrict external access to media information.
- Player version updates may change API behavior. For example, NetEase Cloud Music v3.1.41 blocks metadata reading entirely.
Winamp Note
Winamp only exposes partial metadata by default. After installing the corresponding plugin, full access to track title, artist, playback state and cover art is available.
