What should I do if the Seashell player is not recognized as a USB DAC?

If it's connected to a computer

  1. Player: Settings -》 USB working mode -》 Select the device, and then re-plug and unplug the player and try it;
  2. If it doesn't work and the user's host is Windows, try to open UsbTreeView, then plug and unplug the USB cable to see if there is any device connection on UsbTreeView. If there is no device connection and disconnection, it means there is a problem with the connection (if the host problem has been ruled out, it is a player problem), otherwise it means there is a problem with the driver. If connected to a mobile phone

  1. Make sure your phone supports OTG. If there is an OTG switch, make sure the OTG switch is turned on (usually located in the Phone Settings -> More connections).
  2. Player: Settings -》 USB Working Mode -》 Select the device, and then re-plug and unplug the player and try it.
  3. For Android phones, download HiBy Music APP -> Settings -> USB exclusive function, plug and unplug the player to see if it reacts;.

There are noises during USB DAC audio playback

  • The frequency and priority on the motherboard on the PC may cause problems during the communication process; (This part generally does not fail to use, but will cause sound interruption)

iPhone\iPad using USB DAC decoder issues

  • Since iPhone\iPad has restrictions on external high current devices, when a player is a USB DAC, it is necessary to turn on the USB current limiting and USB non-charge function when it is a USB DAC;
  • When you cannot use USB DAC, you can try to change the order of connecting devices to iPhone\iPad: For example, first connect the cable to the iPhone\iPad, and then connect the device; first connect the device to the cable, and then connect the iPhone\iPad;
  • Since iPhone\iPad has certification for devices and wires, some wires may not be used after the system is upgraded, so you need to try to replace the wires;

What file formats does the USB DAC decoder support?

  • The USB DAC decoder is only responsible for audio playback, so there is only the statement that it supports PCM/DSD audio streams, and there is no statement that it supports a certain file format (for example: WAV\MP3\FLAC decoded is PCM; DSD\DFF decoded is DSD);

Does the USB DAC decoder support space sound effects?
